Aer Lingus Regional:
Aer Lingus has entered an agreement with Irish regional airline Aer
Arann. Under this agreement, Aer Arann will operate aircraft under the
Aer Lingus Regional brand and livery. The new operation will see an
increase in frequency of the Glasgow-Dublin service from one daily to
4
daily and the onset of a brand new, 6-7 weekly service to Cork.
The new flights, which begin on 28 March, are operated by Aer Arann
onboard their ATR-72-500 turboprops. The increased Dublin schedule
will allow connections onto the Aer Lingus Dublin-USA network.

Pakistan International Airlines: The axe-threatened twice-weekly Lahore-Glasgow service
has won a year's reprieve following meetings between the airline,
Glasgow Airport bosses, council officials, Mohammed Sarwar MP and
Pakistani community leaders. It is understood that average load
factors of 64% fell below break-even point and that new marketing
initiatives should be instigated to raise the profile of the route and
encourage its use. The basic message must be "Use it or lose it".

on upgrades and improving access to the site.
Planned developments include improving the airport road system, a new
food court, a new runway lighting system and upgrades to the airfield

quickly been replaced by other carriers such as
